Every household has one family member in control of the MONEY!! Its all about the MONEY when it comes to an association. Most associations follow protocol. In their bylaws its the TREASURER, he or she collects, invoices, deposits, issue checks for operating expenses, payroll. Additional duties are assigned by the president as needed. The treasurer and booking agent/assignor/scheduler must work in harmony to ensure payments to officials are valid. Some associations requires the treasurer to be bonded. Its also important that the association have an assistant treasurer. This is an appointment made by the association's president, normally the secretary is named the treasurer's assistant.

Then there are those associations where the treasurer's duties are limited. Its the booking agent/assignor/scheduler that controls the MONEY. He/she is the person that collects, invoices, deposits, issue checks for operating expenses, payroll, and pay officials.
