High School Sports Officials Associations Should Give Back To The Community
Scholarship Program
Each association should have an established program, whereby a student-athlete can apply for scholarship. Collectively, associations could offer a 2-year or 4-year scholarship to a deserving student-athlete. How many student-athlete scholarships can be awarded, if each association contributed $500 or a $1000?
Charitable Donations
Each association should have an established charitable program. So each year, the association makes a donation to a local charity.
Only know of one association that makes a donation of $3,000 yearly, to its favorite charity. One nonprofit giving to another nonprofit. Such community action may not make the local newspapers, but members know its being done. And the recipients are thankful for it. What does your association do??
